The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced CMM Quality Inspector with a strong programming background to join a precision engineering environment.

This is a hands-on role where you ll take ownership of inspection processes, working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure components meet strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CMM equipment (Mitutoyo) using MCOSMOS software
  • Develop and implement pre-programmed inspection routines
  • Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections
  • Perform manual inspection using standard metrology equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
  • Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality records
  • Support non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis
  • Assist with calibration of inspection equipment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities within quality processes
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

What We re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector
  • Strong knowledge of MCOSMOS (Mitutoyo CMM experience essential)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience with in precision engineering or regulated industries (medical device advantageous)
  • Skilled in manual inspection techniques and measurement tools
  • Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 13485 or ISO 9001
  • Experience with quality documentation (FAIRs, NCRs, CAPA, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Good communication skills and team-focused approach
