The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced CMM Quality Inspector with a strong programming background to join a precision engineering environment.
This is a hands-on role where you ll take ownership of inspection processes, working closely with production and engineering teams to ensure components meet strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CMM equipment (Mitutoyo) using MCOSMOS software
- Develop and implement pre-programmed inspection routines
- Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections
- Perform manual inspection using standard metrology equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
- Produce accurate inspection reports and maintain quality records
- Support non-conformance investigations and root cause analysis
- Assist with calibration of inspection equipment
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities within quality processes
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
What We re Looking For
- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector
- Strong knowledge of MCOSMOS (Mitutoyo CMM experience essential)
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with in precision engineering or regulated industries (medical device advantageous)
- Skilled in manual inspection techniques and measurement tools
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 13485 or ISO 9001
- Experience with quality documentation (FAIRs, NCRs, CAPA, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Good communication skills and team-focused approach
