Our client, a key player in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Documentation Compliance Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is essential to ensuring that all documentation associated with aerospace fasteners and related products is thoroughly verified for compliance and completeness before product release and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform independent over checks of aerospace fastener documentation prior to product release or dispatch.
- Verify Certificates of Conformity, test reports, material certification, and supporting quality records for completeness and accuracy.
- Confirm product traceability to the approved manufacturer and/or supplier.
- Check part numbers, quantities, batch/lot numbers, specifications, revisions, and manufacturer details against purchase order and customer requirements.
- Ensure documentation complies with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable AS9120 Quality Management System controls.
- Identify and prevent the release of missing, incorrect, inconsistent, or potentially suspect documentation until issues are resolved.
- Escalate documentation discrepancies, traceability concerns, and suspected counterfeit or fraudulent certification to the Quality team.
- Maintain accurate records of completed documentation checks and approvals.
- Experience in aerospace distribution, aerospace manufacturing, quality assurance, inspection, or a comparable highly regulated environment.
- Experience reviewing Certificates of Conformity and product traceability documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to compare information accurately across multiple documents.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies in part numbers, batch/lot information, specifications, quantities, and certification.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow controlled procedures and maintain accurate quality records.
- Confidence to stop or escalate work where compliance cannot be demonstrated.
