Hours:Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:15pm. No weekend working.

At BGA,we’relooking for a vehicle technician to join our Technical team. This is an opportunity to take your practical automotive knowledge intocomponentinspection, producttestingand failure investigation.
Youdon’tneed to have worked in quality control before.
We’reinterested in your technical understanding, approach to problem-solving and willingness to learn.
We’llsupport you in developing the product inspection and reporting skills needed for the role.
- Inspecting new products, productionsamplesand stock to assess quality and suitability.
- Investigating returned components to helpestablishwhy they have failed.
- Using measuring equipment to check components against specifications.
- Recording findings and preparing clear inspection reports.
- Supporting colleagues and customers with automotive technical queries.
- Working with our suppliers on inspection findings and product improvements.
- Practical experience as a vehicle technician, with a good understanding of automotive components and how they work.
- An enquiring mind—you like to understand why something has failed.
- A careful, methodical approach and good attention to detail.
- Confidence explaining technical findings to others.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A motor vehicle or relevant engineering qualification.
Experience using precision measuring equipment, reading technical drawingsor carrying outcomponentinspections would be useful, butpreviousemployment in a quality control role is not essential.
