Job Description & How to Apply Below
A well-established food manufacturer with a long-standing presence in the UK market is seeking a Quality Manager to work in their well established factory.
Operating multiple production sites nationally and employing a large workforce, the business produces a range of well-known, much-loved food brands found in households across the country. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence, they have built a reputation for consistently delivering products that customers trust and enjoy.
They are committed to investing in the development of their people and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all of their sites. As part of their ongoing growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality team at their facility.
The Role:
As a Quality Manager you will oversee the site quality team, ensuring products consistently meet safety, legal, and customer specifications. You will work in close collaboration with the Technical Manager and operations teams on continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action implementation.
This is a highly visible role within the site leadership team, offering the opportunity to shape quality culture from the ground up. You will act as the day-to-day lead for all quality matters, balancing hands-on problem-solving with longer-term strategic input into how the site maintains and improves its standards.
You will also build strong working relationships across the site and with external stakeholders, representing the quality function during customer visits and third-party audits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain full compliance with BRC standards and customer requirements
• Lead and mentor the quality team
• Participate in internal and external audits
• Develop and implement corrective action plans
• Investigate quality incidents and coordinate product recalls
• Maintain comprehensive auditing programmes
• Support and coach team members to build technical capability across the site
• Contribute to wider site strategy on quality, safety, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for a confident, credible quality professional who can lead a team and influence at all levels. You'll ideally bring:
• Proven experience managing quality teams in food manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of BRC standards and major retailer requirements
• Food Hygiene Level 4 certification and HACCP Level 3
• Leadership experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with non-conformance systems
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to challenge and drive change
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
What's on
Offer:
In return, you'll be offered a competitive salary and benefits package, along with genuine opportunities for career progression within a well-established, growing organisation. You'll join a supportive leadership team and have real influence over the site's quality standards.
