Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Control Inspector will carry out inspection activities across Mirus manufacturing operations, ensuring products and components conform to engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements and applicable quality standards.
In this role, you will take responsibility for completing accurate and timely inspections, identifying and recording non-conformances, and working collaboratively with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to support effective resolution of quality issues. You’ll help maintain a high standard of product quality throughout the manufacturing process, from incoming components through to completed aircraft seating assemblies.
You will work closely with the wider Quality team to maintain inspection records, support continuous improvement activities and ensure that quality concerns are communicated clearly and addressed effectively. This is an important hands-on role for someone who takes pride in getting the detail right and wants to make a positive contribution to the quality of our products.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBLITLIES:In your role as our Quality Inspector, you will:
- Carry out inspection of components, parts and completed assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, inspection plans and quality requirements.
- Complete accurate inspection records and documentation, including FAI reports ensuring results are recorded clearly and traceably.
- Identify, record and communicate non-conforming product and support the appropriate containment and disposition activities.
- Use appropriate measuring and inspection equipment to verify dimensional and visual requirements.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to investigate quality issues, identify root causes and support effective corrective actions.
- Support first-off, in-process and final inspection activities as required across the manufacturing process.
- Raise quality concerns promptly and provide clear feedback to relevant stakeholders to help prevent recurrence.
- Support internal quality initiatives, continuous improvement activities and the maintenance of a strong quality culture across the business.

- Previous experience within a quality inspection, manufacturing, engineering or aerospace environment.
- Hands on experience of inspection activities and using measurement equipment.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and quality documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical and consistent approach to inspection.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to provide practical and effective solutions.
- Results driven, able to prioritise and meet deadlines and to seek support when required.
- Familiarity with aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with in the aerospace industry or aircraft interiors sector.
- Experience of working with non-conformance, corrective action and continuous improvement processes.
- Relevant Quality, Engineering or Manufacturing qualification.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and controlled technical documentation.
- Ability to complete and review First Article Inspection Reports.
- Able to perform a broad range of tasks efficiently and manage priorities.
- Attention to detail and maintaining quality standards whilst ensuring on-time completion.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing product design, customer requirements, processes and/or priorities.
- Confident communicating quality issues clearly and professionally with colleagues across the business.
- Comfortable with travel between Hingham and Reading offices when required.
Be eligible to work in the UK, comfortable commuting or being based in Hingham, Norfolk and work flexible hours required
