Position: Estates Surveyor - 9 Months (P/T) Local Council
Location: Dundee

Estates Surveyor (3 Days per Week | 9-Month Contract)

Dundee Part-Time Contract Opportunity | Local Authority Property Portfolio
We are currently supporting a local authority in the appointment of an experienced Senior Estates Surveyor on a 3 days per week contract for an initial 9-month period.

This is an excellent opportunity for a well qualified Estates professional to join a busy property team, managing a varied commercial estate portfolio and delivering a broad range of estates management, valuation, acquisition and disposal activities.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of leased and vacant land and property assets.
Undertake rent reviews, lease renewals and lettings.
Carry out rental and capital valuations, investment appraisals and property inspections.
Support property acquisitions and disposals, including negotiations and contract progression.
Manage surplus and vacant property stock, including marketing and viewings.
Prepare reports and provide professional property advice to internal stakeholders.
Assist with service charge budget management and property database updates.
Work closely with council officers, tenants, agents and external consultants.
Deputise for the Team Leader and support the development of junior surveying staff where required.

About You
Ideally MRICS qualified with relevant post-qualification experience.
Strong background in commercial property management.
Proven experience undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals.

Experience of rental and capital valuations.
Knowledge of property acquisitions, disposals and related legal matters.
Strong negotiation, communication and report-writing skills.
Experience using property management systems.
Full UK driving licence.
