The Role And Responsibilities

Ready to use your expertise by designing and delivering robust primary research to shape policy for millions of savers? At The Pensions Regulator (TPR), we’re seeking a Senior Research Analyst who can turn data into actionable evidence. If you’re passionate about using research and insight to influence regulatory decisions, have hands-on experience conducting primary research, and can translate findings into compelling, evidence-based stories for stakeholders, this is your opportunity to make a real difference.

In this role, you’ll lead and deliver research projects that inform and evaluate strategy and policy across the pensions landscape. From designing robust studies to managing qualitative and quantitative analysis, you’ll work on complex, meaningful questions – collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging stakeholders to tell compelling, evidence-based stories.

We’re looking for a skilled and independent research analyst who thrives on undertaking research and turning findings into actionable insights and clear, strategic recommendations. You should be fully proficient at managing research agencies and adding value at all stages when working with them, as well as running surveys and analysis independently. You’ll also need to be proactive in applying innovative approaches to maximise the impact of our research and experienced at delivering high quality work at pace.

We are looking for a collaborative researcher, who is comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams and with stakeholders across TPR, taking a leading role on topic-based evidence gathering exercises. Supporting the Principal Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with junior analysts within the team, providing leadership and guidance on both scoping projects and the analytical delivery.

As TPR’s regulatory needs evolve, you will need to be able to flexibly pivot to focus on new work areas.
