Salary: £25,448 to £26,942 per annum (fixed term, until 31/03/2027).

The successful candidate will join the Applied Health and Wellbeing team within the Research Institute for Health and Social Care, working alongside a thriving community of physical‑activity researchers and other centres of excellence.

• Supporting delivery of school‑based research activities.
• Preparing and organising research equipment and materials.
• Assisting with transport, set‑up and organisation of fieldwork activities.
• Supporting collection of physical activity and measurement data.
• Assisting with questionnaires and research administration.
• Maintaining accurate records and inventories.
• Supporting schools, participants and partner organisations during research visits.
• Working collaboratively within the wider research team.

Essential:

• GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting research or data collection activities.
• Experience working with schools, children, young people or community organisations.
• Interest in public health, physical activity or school‑based research.
