Senior chef - daytime

Senior Chef required for a operation which is mainly daytime focused, this Chef role will be overseeing a team of 3 in the kitchen and two kitchen porters. This kitchen serves a range of breakfast items, healthy grab and go items and sit down meals. The focus is on using good produce, being creative and also around themed events happening, creating a dish to go with the theme.

This role is very hands on, you will offer creative dishes, manage the small team.

The role
As the senior chef you will run the kitchen, you will ensure everything runs smoothly on a day to day basis, you will manage the team, meet suppliers, come up with specials and themed items. This is a very hands on role and you will ensure everything is cooked on time and ready for the meal times. This role includes all the standard duties of the Senior Chef.

Experience
As a Senior chef you will either be a senior sous chef or a head chef, due to the healthy food side - they will also consider a sport nutrition chef looking to run a small kitchen operation. You will have a level 3 food safety hygiene, allergen awareness and knowledge of nutrition. They are big with healthy dishes, so understanding nutrition and what foods are suitable for a wellbeing diet is really important.

They are looking for a candidate from a fresh food restaurant or trendy cafe background.

• Senior chef HEAD CHEF OR SENIOR SOUS CHEF LEVEL
• Manchester
• Mainly daytime hours and standard week is normally mon-fri (very occasionally there is a early evening event, it is mainly daytime)
• breakfast, lunches and grab & go.
