Head Chef
Edinburgh City Centre
Flagship Opening £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
This is an opportunity to join a business at the beginning of its journey and help shape a concept with ambitious growth plans.

A new hospitality concept is arriving in Edinburgh and we're looking for a hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen from the front.

The Role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and served consistently, safely and to a high standard.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to spend their time hidden in the office. We're looking for a Head Chef who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and playing an active part in service.

Alongside managing the kitchen team, you'll help develop systems, improve efficiencies and work closely with the management team and Front of House to keep the operation commercially successful.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading all aspects of kitchen operations.
  • Delivering the menu consistently and to brand standards.
  • Managing food ordering, stock control and food cost.
  • Monitoring portion control, presentation and quality.
  • Recruiting, training and developing team members.
  • Creating rotas and supporting wider F&B operations.
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Working with management to refine menus and improve profitability.
  • Helping create operational systems that can support future growth.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef, or a strong Sous Chef ready to step up.
  • A proven record of delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of food cost control and stock management.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
  • A hands-on management style.
  • The ability to motivate, develop and support a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.
Asian cuisine experience would be welcomed but is not essential. More important is the ability to deliver quality, consistency and strong kitchen leadership.

What's In It For You?
  • Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 DOE.
  • Staff, friends and family discounts.
  • Meals on duty.
  • Access to Bright Exchange employee discounts.
  • 28 days holiday entitlement (pro rata).
  • The opportunity to join a flagship opening and grow with the business as the brand expands.
If you enjoy building teams, creating great food and being part of something from the start, we'd love to hear from you.
