. This is a fantastic opportunity for a friendly and customer-focused individual looking for flexible work within a busy university catering environment. Job Description As a Till Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while supporting the smooth operation of food and beverage service areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating tills and processing cash and card transactions accurately
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
- Assisting customers with queries and purchases
- Replenishing stock and maintaining service areas
- Ensuring displays and counters are clean, tidy, and well-presented
- Supporting food service operations during busy periods
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Following all food safety, health and safety, and company procedures
- Working collaboratively with the wider catering team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable and flexible approach to work
- Cash handling or till experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
