Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (down to a minimum of 12) we also have opportunities for this.
We require you to be available in the following availability windows. Shifts will be scheduled within these times and you’ll have three weeks’ notice of your shift dates.
Availability Window- Wednesday: 10:00 – 14:00
- Friday: 17:00 – 23:00
- Saturday: 17:00 – 23:00

Responsibilities- Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; give great natural service.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Apply the training you have received so we all work safely and serve our customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet their needs at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand your store's performance, what your role contributes and how to drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live our values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow our policies.
- At times, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
- A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
- The ability to build rapport with customers, leaving them with a great shopping experience.
