- Iron, clean, label, and price items ready for sale.
- Keep the shop well‑organised and tidy.
- Help with general shop tasks.
- No previous experience is needed – full training is provided.
- There is no expectation to use a till or computer in this volunteering role.
- A few hours per week – please discuss with the shop manager.
- No minimum commitment or fixed hours; we only ask that you agree on hours you can reliably attend and inform us if they change.
We celebrate diversity and want volunteers to bring their authentic selves to the Red Cross. We welcome refugees, asylum seekers, and anyone currently in the UK. We have an expenses policy that prioritises volunteers not being out of pocket for role‑related expenses. If upfront costs are difficult, speak with your volunteering manager for alternatives.
Health and SafetyWe provide an individual approach to safety. A simple risk assessment may be required and we will discuss any adjustments you need. Some locations may not host 15–17 year olds; contact us for suitable opportunities.
