Shop Volunteer; Stock Assistant - Hay Wye Bookshop

Overview

Your local British Red Cross shop has a variety of activities available for volunteers. From sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing great customer service to donors and customers, we have something to suit most people’s interests. Our shop is a great place to learn new skills and share existing ones.

Stock Assistant volunteer

• Checking the quality of donated items and preparing them for sale or recycling
• Replenishing stock on the shop floor
• Ironing, cleaning, labelling and helping to price items ready for sale
• General activities around the shop

Few hours a week, as agreed with the shop manager. There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours; we only ask that you agree on hours you can attend and let us know if they change.

No experience is needed. Full training will be provided. No expectation to use a till or computer.

We take an individual approach to ensuring your safety. Volunteers may be asked to complete a risk assessment and discuss any necessary adjustments. Some locations may not be suitable for 15-17 year olds; please contact us to find an appropriate opportunity.
