Job Overview
We are looking for a Customer Assistant at Lidl in Darwen, Lancashire. Role is a 20‑hour contract with an hourly rate of £13.45‑£14.45, plus £2.00 hourly for bank holidays and £3.50 for nights. You will receive 30‑35 days holiday pro‑rata, a 10% in‑store discount, and a pension scheme.
Responsibilities- Restock shelves and keep the store clean, tidy and organised.
- Operate the tills and handle cash transactions.
- Assist customers with questions, queries and requests, ensuring excellent service.
- Process deliveries as they arrive in store.
- Maintain the bakery and non‑food aisles, baking fresh goods where required.
- Adapt to changing priorities and work flexibly on early or late shifts.
- Collaborate with retail colleagues to help the store succeed.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Flexibility to start a shift early or finish late.
- Positive approach to changing priorities.
- Drive and passion to work hard and make the store a success.
- Friendly manner and a smile to inspire the team.
