Retail Assistant – Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Cumnock, East Ayrshire. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days from 7 each week, including weekends.

Pay:

• Ages 16-20: £10.95 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and a simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help with packing and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy as there is always something to do, from deliveries to till, customer service, cleaning and stock rotation.
• Reliability, as you are an important part of a small team and must not let the team down.
• A bit of flexibility with shifts, as rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside of work are considered.
