Our client, a reputable multi-franchise approved car dealership in Newport, is seeking an experienced New Car Sales Manager to lead their sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to drive performance and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction within a well-established dealership.
Benefits of the Car Sales Manager:- Starting basic salary of £40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
- Uncapped on-target earnings of £60,000+ per year, based on department performance
- Personal company car - 30 days annual leave, with a day off in lieu for any bank holidays worked

- Long-term career progression opportunities within a large dealer group across Southwest England and South Wales
- Average 5-day working week, from 8:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday, and 8:30am to 5:00pm on Saturdays.
One late shift per week; no Sundays, except during March and September
Duties of the Car Sales Manager:- Lead, motivate, and support a team of 3 to 4 New Car Sales Executives and a Business Manager
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed targets
- Champion outstanding customer service, fostering high satisfaction levels and repeat business
- Organise and execute sales events and campaigns to generate commercial growth
- Monitor market trends and customer feedback to adapt sales approaches
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate customer data management
- Ensure compliance with all dealership policies and manufacturer standards
- Lead by example, maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer engagement
- Previous experience at a Sales Manager level within a small to medium-sized franchise-approved dealership is advantageous
- Alternatively, proven experience as a Sales Executive or Business Manager seeking career progression
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Excellent customer service and organisational abilities
- A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and developing high-performing teams
