Sales Executive

Are you an organised, customer-focused sales professional who enjoys variety and being at the heart of a busy commercial team?

We are recruiting for a Sales Executive to join a growing, technology-focused manufacturing business based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

This is a varied position combining sales, customer service, order processing and sales administration, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships with customers while keeping the sales process running smoothly behind the scenes.

Up to £35,000 salary

The role

Working as part of the Sales & Marketing team, you will support customers throughout the sales and service journey, while also providing valuable support to the wider commercial team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing customer enquiries and maintaining accurate CRM records

Preparing quotations and processing customer sales orders

Selling selected third-party products and liaising with customers and suppliers

Coordinating customer equipment bookings for servicing and calibration

Keeping customers updated on requirements, lead times and returns

Working closely with internal service and quality teams to ensure work is completed efficiently

Producing quotations and documentation for service and calibration work

Supporting sales management with lead follow-up, reporting and pipeline administration

Helping coordinate sales meetings, customer visits and trade events

Providing occasional support with marketing activities including email campaigns, exhibitions and website updates

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have previous experience within a sales, sales support, customer service or commercial administration role and be someone who enjoys working in a busy, varied environment.

You'll need:

Strong communication and customer service skills

Excellent organisation and attention to detail

Confidence managing several priorities at once

Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Previous experience using a CRM or database system

A proactive, team-focused approach and willingness to support colleagues across the business
