Our client, a well-established and growing ecological consultancy based in Swindon, is seeking an enthusiastic Ecologist to join their friendly and professional team. The Role

You will be involved in a wide range of ecological projects across the UK, supporting clients through all stages of the planning and development process. The role offers a balance of fieldwork, reporting, and client liaison.

Key responsibilities include:

Undertaking habitat and protected species surveys (including Phase 1 and UKHab)

Assisting with and producing ecological reports (PEAs, PRAs, EcIAs)

Supporting mitigation design and implementation

Liaising with clients, planners, and project teams

Contributing to high-quality, practical ecological solutions

About You

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual with:

A degree (or equivalent) in Ecology or a related discipline

Experience in ecological field surveys and report writing

Good knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy

Strong written and verbal communication skills

A full UK driving licence

Membership (or working towards membership) of CIEEM is desirable, as are protected species survey licences, but training and support will be provided.
