The Security Officer is responsible for delivering a professional security service that protects people, property, and assets in line with Assignment Instructions and customer requirements. As a Security Officer
, you will help maintain a safe environment through effective patrols, monitoring, incident reporting and excellent customer service. An SIA licence is required and the Security Officer will be expected to uphold the core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
- Protect property and premises through patrols, monitoring alarms and CCTV, managing keys, issuing passes, and maintaining accurate logs.
- Support health & safety by identifying risks, responding to incidents, and maintaining First Aid equipment.
- Prevent loss and crime by reporting risks, conducting searches, operating security equipment and handling investigations.
- Deliver excellent customer service by assisting staff and visitors, handling enquiries and maintaining a professional image.
- Complete handovers, documentation and any tasks requested by management, while upholding Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

- Working towards or holding a valid SIA licence.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Over 18 with a five‑year checkable work history or valid documentation for gaps.
- No criminal convictions.
- Good communication skills and customer focus, ability to work independently and in a team.
- Reliable, punctual and flexible with shifts (days, nights and weekends).
- Full UK driving licence and own transport desirable.
- Previous security officer experience.
