Job Role: Relief Control Room Operator

Working Hours: Zero hours

Pay Rate: £13.70 per hour (for control room shifts)

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Relief Control Room Operator to join our established security team based at Brunel Shopping Centre in Swindon.

You will be responsible for conducting regular patrols, monitoring activity to ensure a safe and secure environment for all visitors and staff. You will respond promptly to incidents, liaise professionally with members of the public and site management, and maintain accurate records in line with operational procedures.

A strong presence, attention to detail, and commitment to upholding site security standards are essential.

As a Relief Control Room Operator, you will be required to support the site security team by being flexible and reliable to cover Control Room shifts as required, which may include a variety of hours and shift patterns.

The successful candidate must hold a valid SIA CCTV licence as a minimum.

Duties include:

• Monitoring CCTV footage to identify suspicious activity, security concerns or potential incidents and taking appropriate action
• Coordinating and communicating with Security Officers on site to support the effective response to incidents
• Maintaining accurate Control Room logs and ensuring all relevant incidents and activities are recorded appropriately
• Monitoring site systems and promptly reporting or escalating any faults, concerns or irregularities
• Protecting theclient’s property, people and/or assets by providing security services indirect accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) andsite-specific procedures
• Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing offenders of policyand procedures
• Preventing and escalating incidents in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner to the Control Room/ Shift Manager/Operations Manager/Emergency Services as appropriate for serious incidents
• Operating and monitoring site CCTV equipment
• Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
• Maintaining organisation's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Acting as afirst line support to customers and visitors to site, providing a professional and friendly service
• Understanding the needs of our customer, respond accordingly to customer queries and requests and take appropriate action
• Maintaining professional conduct at all times

• Essential:
  Full 5-year employment checkable history
• Desirable:
  Valid frontline SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence
• Previous experience working within a security control room or CCTV environment
• Customer service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
• Flexible to meet the job requirements
