Whittington NHS Hospital - Hospital Based Security Officers

Whittington Health NHS Trust is looking for motivated and professional Bank Security Officers to join our Security Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy healthcare environment where no two shifts are the same and where your role will make a real difference to the safety of patients, visitors and staff.

As a Bank Security Officer, you will support the Trust by carrying out patrols, responding to security incidents, assisting clinical teams, operating CCTV and access control systems, supporting emergency responses and helping to maintain a safe and secure environment across our hospital and community sites.

You will be joining a developing and supportive Security Service, with opportunities to build your skills and experience within the NHS. Specific security-related training will be provided in-house, including enhanced conflict resolution, breakaway, restraint/physical intervention training, officer safety training and local security procedures.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, professional, flexible and able to communicate well with patients, visitors and staff. Previous security, healthcare, customer service or front-line experience is desirable. An SIA licence would be advantageous, although full role-specific training will be provided.

This is a Staff Bank role, so shifts will be offered on an as-and-when-required basis, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can support staff safety, patient safety and the wider NHS, we would welcome your application.

* Lift evacuation training

* Ability to work on own initiative and minimum supervision
