Here, you can find more purpose, more passion, and more potential. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently – we do it all: we make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.
About your roleOur mission at British Gas is to sell it and mend it. We’ve been powering the UK’s homes and businesses for over 200 years – but supplying energy is just part of what we do. We’re making the UK greener and more energy‑efficient, getting closer to Net‑Zero by using clever tech such as thermostats, heat pumps, solar panels and EV chargers.
We’re looking for skilled Electricians to join our experienced Field Engineering team, ensuring customers receive exceptional service exactly when they need it. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering our British Gas Service Promise of same‑day fixes and installing electric vehicle charge points.

As a British Gas Electrician, you’ll use your expertise to deliver safe, high‑quality electrical work in customers’ homes, from fault‑finding and installations to full rewires and EV charge‑point installations. You’ll need at least two years’ experience as a qualified electrician.
EV installation experience is a bonus, but if you don’t have it yet, we’ll give you the training and qualifications to get there. Your customer service excellence and problem‑solving abilities will enable you to diagnose issues efficiently and work safely to ensure first‑time fixes while promoting British Gas products and services through professional advice and expertise.
