Senior Field Service Engineer – Fire Alarm Systems

Location : South West / West / South East London & surrounding areas

Salary : £40,000 – £42,000 + Overtime + Standby Pay + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Field Service Engineer looking to take the next step in your career?

We’re looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer to join our expanding team, covering SW, W, and SE London. You’ll work with industry-leading fire alarm systems, handling service, maintenance, and commissioning work for a variety of commercial clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Fire Alarm Engineer who enjoys technical variety, customer interaction, and autonomy in their day-to-day role.

• Service, maintain, fault‑find, and commission fire alarm systems across the region.
• Work within your designated area (SW / W / SE postcodes).
• Support and mentor junior engineers as the senior engineer on the patch.
• Ensure compliance with BS5839 and company quality standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while representing a respected brand in the fire industry.

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or Fire Alarm Engineer.
• Strong commissioning experience with fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional).
• Knowledge of major systems (e.g. Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Notifier, etc.) preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel across SW / W / SE London.
• Self‑motivated, organised, and customer‑focused.

Salary : £40,000 – £42,000 (DOE)

Overtime : Paid at time and a half after 40 hours

Standby Allowance : £150 per week (on a rota basis)

Travel Pay : After the first 30 minutes each way

• 20 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 22 after 3 years and 25 after 5 years)
