Job Title: Joiner - Social Housing

Pay Rate: 18.00 per hour (CIS)

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Joiner to join a well-established social housing contractor based in Manchester. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a strong background in domestic repairs and maintenance across occupied and void properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out a wide range of joinery works including fitting doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, kitchens, and windows.

• Complete responsive and planned maintenance works in social housing properties.

• Work within both occupied and vacant homes while minimising disruption to tenants.

• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.

• Accurately complete job sheets and updates using a PDA or mobile device where required.

• Liaise with supervisors, site managers, and other trades to ensure efficient job completion.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Joiner within social housing or domestic maintenance environments.

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent - preferred.

• Ability to carry out minor multi-skilled tasks (e.g. basic plumbing, patch plastering) - advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Full UK Driving Licence - essential.

• CSCS card - preferred but not essential.

• Asbestos Awareness certificate - essential.

• Valid DBS check - required (or willingness to obtain one).
