We are seeking a reliable and motivated Solar PV Fitter to join our installation team, working on commercial and industrial rooftop solar PV systems as well as ground-mounted solar installations. The successful candidate will work as part of a crew, travelling to sites and assisting with the mechanical installation of solar PV systems while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install solar PV systems on commercial and industrial rooftops and ground-mounted systems
Assist with mounting structures, panel installation, and associated mechanical works
Support basic electrical installation tasks under supervision where required
Work safely at heights using appropriate access equipment and fall protection
Operate safely around plant, tools, and machinery on construction sites
Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to site
Follow project plans, method statements, and health & safety procedures
Work effectively as part of a site-based installation crew
Travel to various job sites as required
Essential Requirements:
Clean, full driving licence
Willingness to travel to multiple sites with the work crew
Comfortable working at heights
Ability to work safely around plant and machinery
Good level of physical fitness
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Commitment to health & safety standards
Desirable (Not Essential):
Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge or experience
Previous experience in solar PV installation, roofing, or construction
Relevant safety certifications (e.g. Working at Heights, Manual Handling, CSCS/ECS or equivalent)
