We provide quality, low‑cost housing and work to ensure residents thrive in healthy, sustainable communities.

About the department

At Jigsaw Support our focus is on helping people to live happy, healthy lives in a safe home. We support our most vulnerable individuals and aim to improve the quality of our customers’ lives by helping them to achieve independence.

With over 200 staff from offices in Ashton under Lyne, Leigh and supported accommodation projects across the North West, we support over 7,000 people annually.

Benefits
  • 24 days holiday per annum (based on a 5‑day working week), plus 3 days for Christmas closure and bank holidays; additional days after 2 years continuous service (up to a maximum of 5 days).
  • Option to buy or sell up to 5 days extra leave per year.
  • Incremental salaried pay, occupational sick pay, access to the Social Housing Pension Scheme, enhanced maternity/paternity leave, BHSF membership, on‑site gym access, and training/development opportunities.
Role information

As one of our Young Persons’ Keyworker you will support 18–25‑year‑old care leavers and young persons in the SHAP programme across Tameside and Oldham.

You will carry a small caseload and provide person‑centred, wrap‑around support aimed at removing barriers to tenancy sustainment and progression to permanent accommodation. Barriers may include substance use, mental and physical health difficulties, offending, domestic abuse, debt and money management issues.

Shift work will be required from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, including weekends and bank holidays.

Additional information

This position is within our Single Homeless Accommodation Projects (SHAP) programme, which offers self‑contained, longer‑term temporary accommodation and wrap‑around support to people who have experienced rough sleeping. The aim is to enable them to live as independently as possible, gain the skills and confidence needed to sustain a tenancy, and lead a fulfilling life.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a sufficient number of applications.
