Overview
Helping out at the Holding On Letting Go Parent/Carer Bereavement Support Groups which run over several weekends a year. You will assist our Parent/Carer Facilitator with group discussions and therapeutic work.
What difference will you make?We offer an opportunity to co‑facilitate bereavement support workshops for parents and carers. You will provide coping strategies to help each parent/carer support themselves and their child or children with bereavement. This role has a significant impact on the whole family, as extensive bereavement can disrupt children’s development. With your help our programme can give comprehensive support for the entire family.
Whatare we looking for?
Ideally you have experience in bereavement, adult counselling or adult therapy. Empathy and good listening skills are essential.
What will you be doing?Conduct Parent/Carer Bereavement Support Groups while their children attend one of our bereavement support weekends. Provide support for parents and guidance on supporting a grieving child groups are mainly held in Sittingbourne, with additional sessions in Sevenoaks (two) and Broadstairs (one) each year.
Additional informationWe provide free training, mileage reimbursement, and food and refreshments.
