Senior Support Worker

We are currently partnered with a leading Homeless charity in Swindon, who are looking for a Senior Support Worker to help lead their Supported Housing team, delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with histories of homelessness, mental health challenges, substance misuse and offending backgrounds.
This will be a full-time, permanent position based in Swindon, with working hours of 09:00AM-17:00PM. The salary for the role is up to £36,576 per annum.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting people with complex needs while taking on a leadership role without direct line management responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational decisions and support
- Provide guidance and oversight to a team of Support Workers, modelling best practice
- Manage your own caseload of up to 20 service users
- Use trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches to empower independence and positive change
- Work closely with partner agencies including housing, health, social care and criminal justice services
- Help maintain safe, high-quality accommodation and support effective tenancy management
- Experience of case recording, support planning and risk management
- Experience of Supported Housing, managing license breaches and enforcing license conditions
- Experience of working with challenging behaviour including current drug or alcohol use, antisocial behaviour, offending, substance misuse and complex needs
- Experience of providing guidance, support and motivation within a team to strengthen performance and quality
- Recent experience in a similar role is required
