Advanced Social Worker - Children with Disabilities

Swindon

Liquid Personnel is recruiting Social Worker for its client's Children with Disabilities Team at Swindon.

You’ll join our Disabled Children’s Team, working with children and families who need consistent, thoughtful and skilled support.
This is varied, meaningful work. You’ll be involved in everything from assessment through to long-term planning, including safeguarding, care proceedings and supporting children we care for.
The team is based at the Salt way Centre alongside partners, which means you can work closely with others to get the right support in place for children and young people.
As an Advanced Social Worker, you’ll also play a key role in supporting others. You’ll help develop practice, offer guidance and supervision, and share your experience with newer colleagues.

What will your responsibilities be?
  • You’re someone who keeps children at the centre, even when things are complex.
  • You bring strong social work practice, but just as importantly, you bring care, curiosity and the confidence to build relationships with families and colleagues.
  • You’ll want to keep learning, keep improving, and be part of a team that is doing the same.
What you’ll find here
  • A team that supports each other.
  • Leaders who are visible and approachable.
  • Space to do the job properly, not just quickly.

We’re continuing to improve and shape our services, and we want social workers who want to be part of that journey.

  • We’ll support you to grow your career in a way that works for you.
  • Our Social Work & Leadership Academy offers structured development, learning and progression, recognising and building great practice at every stage.
  • If you’re looking for a place where you can do your best work and make a real difference to children’s lives, we’d love to hear from you.
  • Candidates must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
  • Relocation allowance of up to £8,000 (eligibility criteria applies)
  • Free car parking at our central Swindon campus and easy commuter links to many locations

As an employee, you will receive a diverse and exciting environment in which to work, encouraging creativity and innovation whilst recognising the need to support ongoing personal development and a flexible work life balance.

For Swindon to thrive in the future, we need to lay the foundations now. It’s why our regeneration and transformation programmes are already underway. So, you’ll be joining us at an exciting time on our journey. We’ll look to you to share your knowledge, influence decisions and drive real, positive change. With your contributions, we’ll achieve our vision of a prosperous, re‑vitalised Swindon together.

And you’ll be proud to say it was made better with you.
