Victim Support Scotland (VSS) provides support and information to people affected by crime and campaigns for victim and witness rights. Regardless of whether a crime has been reported or when it happened, our services are free, confidential, and tailored to individuals’ needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Support Coordinator, working 20 hours per week on a fixed-term contract (maternity cover). Working days are Monday to Friday between 8am‑8pm, and Saturday 10am‑4pm.
- Salary band: £27,598 – £36,445 (pro‑rata). Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point.

Lanark Sheriff Court, 24 Hope Street, Lanark, ML11 7NE
. You will also be expected to cover Hamilton Sheriff Court, 4 Beckford Street, Hamilton, ML3 0BT
.
- Report directly to a Locality Manager.
- Ensure VSS’s local service development and delivery plan is implemented within your geographical area(s).
- Plan and coordinate the deployment of volunteers to meet desired outcomes for victims and witnesses.
- Manage volunteer engagement, including recruitment, induction, learning and development, ongoing performance management and support.
- Contribute to business planning and coordination, ensuring continuous learning and monitoring of service user outcomes.
Applicants should have experience in a similar coordinative role and a commitment to professional development. Key competencies include:
- Confident and supportive leadership, ability to motivate, build trust and drive performance.
- Comfort with data gathering, analysis and presenting insights that influence decisions.
- Understanding of fairness and inclusion, with the confidence to challenge discrimination, bias or stereotyping.
- Solid understanding of the voluntary and charity sector.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel when necessary.
Post will be subject to a satisfactory PVG check.
