Rehabilitation Specialist – Vale Hospital

Permanent, full‑time. Up to £27,985 per annum depending on experience, 37.5 hours per week.

• Organise and run a series of rolling 12‑week rehabilitation programmes.
• Facilitate live‑stream and in‑person group exercise classes for participants with varying abilities.
• Promote self‑directed activity using pre‑recorded on‑demand classes and a journal to support post‑programme self‑management.
• Adjust exercises and intensities based on performance improvements.
• Identify participant deterioration, follow internal escalation processes, and ensure reporting within required time frames.
• Engage in weekly one‑to‑one telephone conversations to coach goal setting, understand restrictions, monitor progress, offer emotional wellbeing support, and empower self‑directed activity.

• Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (essential).
• Prior experience as a Rehabilitation Specialist or similar role.
• Preferred: BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation.
• Problem‑solving and diagnostic skills.
• Organisational ability.
• Effective decision‑making skills.
• Time and resource management.
• Experience working with vulnerable adults.
• Good English and numerical skills.
