At Cross Reach, we support people to stay connected, maintain their independence, and get the most out of day‑to‑day life. As a Day Care Worker, you’ll be involved in providing practical care and helping create a supportive, engaging environment for those who attend our service.
What you’ll be doing- Supporting service users with personal care while maintaining dignity and independence
- Acting as a key worker and helping to develop and review individual care plans
- Building positive relationships with service users, families, and carers
- Supporting and leading group activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction
- Assisting with meals, including preparation and service
- Helping to keep the centre clean, safe, and welcoming
- Keeping accurate records in line with organisational policies and SSSC requirements
- A caring, reliable, and respectful approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office
- SVQ Level 3 in Social Care, or willingness to work towards it
- Ability to work in line with Cross Reach’s Christian ethos and support service users’ choices in this area
- A part‑time role within a Monday to Friday service (9am–5pm)

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
