We are looking for a committed Social Worker to join our well established Adolescent Social Work Pod within our innovative Multi-Agency Adolescent Service.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals who are committed to supporting teenagers through a relational, anti-racist and LGBTQ+ inclusive approach. We are seeking someone who is dedicated to championing the voices of children and who is motivated by the opportunity to strengthen practice with adolescents experiencing extra-familial harm.

Our Adolescent Social Work Pod is a team of caseresponsiblesocial workers who work withchildrenwho are facing complex challenges, including all forms of extra-familial harm. Many of thechildrenwe support are at risk of entering care or the criminal justice system. We take an assertive, creative, relationship-based approach to ourinterventionsthrough strong multi-agency collaboration which is informed by Contextual Safeguarding.

As a Social Worker within the Adolescent Pod, you will play a pivotal role in building meaningful relationships with children, their families, and partner agencies. Grounded in relationship-based practice, you will work alongside adolescents facing complex challenges, ensuring their voice, strengths, and experiences shape all aspects of assessment, planning, and intervention.

You will manage a caseload, delivering high-quality statutory social work that promotes safety, stability, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. Through purposeful relationship-building, you will work with multi-agency partners to support children to increase safety in the community, strengthen protective factors, and achieve lasting change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be case responsible social worker for children experiencing extra-familial harm, delivering all statutory social work interventions and responsibilities.
  • Assertively building trusting relationships with children and families to enable engagement and participation.
  • Skills in engaging parents and carers of children experiencing extra-familial harm
  • Deliver direct work that addresses extra-familial harm, and other adolescent needs.
  • Work collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners to coordinate effective support and intervention.
  • Apply relationship-based and trauma-informed approaches to understand behaviour and support positive change.
  • Contribute to and lead multi-agency meetings, ensuring plans remain focused on achievable outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory and organisational standards.
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and anti-discriminatory practice in all aspects of work.
