Salary up to 51356 depending on experience

As part of the Safeguarding Team youll play a crucial role in protecting vulnerable children and helping families achieve lasting positive change.

Youll:

• Manage a varied and rewarding caseload across Child in Need (CIN) Child Protection (CP) and Looked After Children (LAC) services.
• Complete high-quality assessments care planning and interventions that deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Build trusted relationships with children and families while ensuring their voices remain central to decision-making.
• Lead safeguarding processes chair CIN and Core Group meetings and contribute to court proceedings where required.
• Work closely with education health police and other key partners to deliver coordinated support.
• Support and mentor ASYE and student social workers sharing your expertise and helping others develop.

Youll have:

Social Work England registration
Post-qualified experience within childrens safeguarding services
Strong knowledge of child protection legislation statutory guidance and safeguarding frameworks
Experience managing complex and high-risk cases with confidence and professionalism
Excellent communication assessment and relationship-building skills
Experience using systems such as Liquid logic Mosaic Care First or ICS
Additional expertise in areas such as contextual safeguarding trauma-informed practice domestic abuse or supporting asylum-seeking families would be highly advantageous
