Care and Support Worker Level 2; Relief Children’s Safe Accommodation Team

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a relief Level 2 – Care and Support within our Children’s Safe Accommodation provision in Ceredigion. These roles will work on a rota, covering day and night shifts and support the needs of the service. They will work as part of a wider team including a Registered Manager, Assistant Manager and Level 3 – Care and Support.

• Provide compassionate care and support to children in a safe residential setting.
• Work rotating shifts, including day and night coverage.
• Collaborate with the Registered Manager, Assistant Manager and Level 3 staff to meet children's needs.
• Promote a child-centred approach to practice.

• Solid career history in children’s residential care or a comparable care and support provision.
• Passion for promoting a child-centred approach to practice.
• Suitable level of Welsh language fluency is preferred; non-Welsh speakers are also welcome and supported with funded lessons.
• Enhanced DBS check required – previous convictions will not automatically disqualify a candidate.

Successive employees who need support to improve their Welsh language skills will be offered funded lessons during working hours to reach the desired standard after appointment.
