Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity?
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enableby making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!
Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.
Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.
Let us introduce you to C
harles:
Charles lives in his family home with his mother in Linwood, Paisley.
While Charles's mother goes to work he enjoys getting support out into the community with his personal assistant.
Charles is independent but still requires specific support to help him with things we take for granted.
Charles requires a bespoke staff member to support him with his complex needs.
Charles gets around locally with the use of his powered wheelchair. Charles also requires a driver, as he has his own adapted vehicle for days of adverse weather or journeys where he wants to go further afield, like his favourite club on a Tuesday night, in Glasgow.
Charles loves a bit of banter with his support . He has interests in football and loves to try his luck with a wee bet at the local bookies. He also loves to go a run to scenic areas and maybe pick up some lunch from McDonalds or his other favourites.
The support has a large focus on companionship, with Charles looking for someone to share his days with.
