Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain custom software tools for the Aerodynamics department, delivering robust and scalable solutions that support engineering performance
  • Take full ownership of tasks and projects from concept through to deployment, driving the successful delivery of capabilities to end users with accountability for quality, timelines, and outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, aerodynamicists, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and translate business needs into effective software systems
  • Develop and support applications across the full software stack, including databases, backend services, APIs, and user‑facing interfaces
  • Advocate for and apply software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, automated testing, documentation, maintainability, and continuous improvement
  • Lead troubleshooting, optimisation, and enhancement of existing systems to improve reliability, usability, and performance
  • Contribute technical expertise within a fast‑paced, collaborative engineering environment, supporting both ongoing operational needs and future innovation
Requirements
  • A technical degree in Engineering, Maths, Science or Computer Science
  • Proven programming skills using C# and/or Python and associated technologies
  • Proven experience working with SQL databases, ideally SQL Server
  • Demonstrable experience delivering software solutions in a technical or engineering environment, ideally gained through a graduate programme or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical users
  • A proactive, adaptable and pragmatic mindset to succeed in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
