This innovative company have been recently established and are now scaling rapidly. They are bringing a genuinely disruptive microscopy software product to market, with huge scope for long-term growth as the business expands globally.

In this role you will support customers with installation, configuration and troubleshooting, deliver demos and technical training, and feed real-world user insight back into the software roadmap. You'll also support pre-sales activities and represent the company at conferences and events. Travel is occasional (typically 1-2 days per month).

The Role

• Applications Engineer supporting global scientific customers (remote + occasional travel)
• Install/configure/troubleshoot electron microscopy software integrations
• Deliver product demos, workshops and technical training (live + remote)
• Work closely with R&D, translating customer feedback into product improvements.
• Support pre-sales and attend conferences/trade shows

The Person

• Master's degree minimum in Physics / Materials Science / Engineering / Biology (or similar)
• Hands-on electron microscopy experience: TEM / STEM / SEM and/or FIB-SEM
• Comfortable customer-facing, problem-solving and communicating technical concepts
• Desirable:
  PhD, based in the North West.
