The RoleAs a member of the Maths Team, you will be involved in the production, maintenance, and analysis of online and retail slot games. You will collaborate with both Back-End and Front-End development teams throughout game development, and with the Data and Operations teams following release to monitor, analyse, and review live game performance.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include monitoring existing products, conducting internal play testing and game reviews, developing tools in Java (or Python), and solving complex mathematical problems to meet specific game design requirements.
The ideal candidate is highly creative, possesses strong mathematical intuition, and has an excellent understanding of probability, statistics, and player engagement to ensure games meet the highest standards of quality and entertainment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and deliver new slot titles and other iGaming games.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, communicating progress clearly and delivering high-quality results within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain and monitor existing, newly released, and upcoming games, using performance data to inform future development.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to test, refine, and improve new game concepts.
- Two or more years' experience developing mathematical models for slot machines.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics).
- Strong knowledge of combinatorics, probability theory, and quantitative analysis.
- Experience conducting Monte Carlo simulations, interpreting results, and refining mathematical models accordingly.
- Intermediate proficiency in both Java and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts clearly using formal mathematical notation and terminology.
