Permanent 30 hours per week; contract at £12.42 per hour (depending on age)

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Leisure Team as a Leisure Assistant. As a Leisure Assistant you will be helping with the day to day running of Cofton’s busy leisure facility ensuring all guests and members enjoy a safe and fun time. You will help to maintain cleanliness of the fitness facilities, and they are correctly presented at all times.

You will support the Leisure Manager & Assistant Manager and your team colleagues by performing your role to the best of your ability while conforming to company policy, procedures and goals.

• To deal with enquiries from guests and members promptly and politely.
• To assist with the daily activities programme, helping to set up the equipment so that it is ready for each session.
• To assist with taking payments from guests and members as necessary.
• To assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment within our fitness facility in order to ensure the safety and well-being of members and guests.
• To assist with equipment / maintenance checks and logging as appropriate.
• To report any maintenance problems without delay.
• To undertake any necessary training as deemed necessary by management.
• To follow company procedures, guidance and training as appropriate.
• Report any Health & Safety matters immediately to the line manager and take any remedial action within the realms of your training, ensuring the Company remains compliant.

• Experience of working in a leisure facility
• Experience in a customer facing role
• Flexibility, especially at weekends
• A valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
