Customs Brokerage Associate

Solihull / Birmingham

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + excellent benefits | Hybrid working

An established international logistics organisation is seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Associate to join a high-performing customs and freight team in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity for a customs professional with strong Cargo

Wise1 (CW1) experience who is looking to develop their career within a stable, forward-thinking environment.

The Role

As a Customs Brokerage Associate, you will play a key role in managing import and export customs processes, ensuring compliance with regulations while delivering outstanding service to clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing customs entries and clearance processes from start to finish
  • Interpreting and applying import/export legislation and regulations
  • Liaising with customers, freight teams and external authorities
  • Identifying opportunities to support client growth and operational efficiency
  • Delivering accurate, timely and compliant customs documentation
About You

You will be an experienced customs professional with a strong technical foundation and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential experience and skills:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a customs clearance role
  • Strong knowledge of UK import/export procedures and regulations
  • Cargo

    Wise1 experience (Certified Operator/Specialist highly desirable)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and team-focused approach

  • Analytical and technically minded
  • Confident decision-maker within your area of expertise
  • Comfortable working within established systems and processes
  • Collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused
Working Arrangement
  • Office-based for the initial 3-6 months during training and onboarding
  • Hybrid working model thereafter (60/40 split)
  • Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week (some flexibility required to meet operational needs)
Salary & Benefits
  • £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
