Part Time HGV Class 2 Driver - Nights. Tankersley LilyLifestyle

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting Class 2 (Cat C Drivers) on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Barnsley.

Every other Saturday, midnight - 2am starts.

• (PAYE): 14.43 p/h from 10pm onwards, 13.12 p/h from 6am onwards
• (ROLLEDUP) 16.16 (with holiday pay).

Location:

Barnsley, S74.

Job Type: Ongoing.

Trunking, long distance driving between depots.

Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.

No/limited handball.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.

Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.

Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).

Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.

6 months' experience minimum required.

No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.

Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Excellent communication skills.

Full training and support for new pass drivers.

Clinic days on-site to support drivers with training and areas they require support.

Onsite recruitment team for day-to-day assistance.
