HGV Vehicle Technician

About the Role

As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you will repair and maintain our fleet of delivery vehicles for VOSA and Partnership standards. You will work with experienced technicians and receive the tools required to succeed, with opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career.

• Salary: up to £55,000, plus readily available overtime.
• Working Hours:
  
  Full‑time 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota, plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings at premium overtime rate.

    Monday to Friday 06:00‑14:00
  • Week 2:
    Monday to Friday 14:00‑22:00

• Oversee maintenance of large HGV fleet ensuring safe and roadworthy standards per DVSA and Partnership requirements.
• Complete inspections, services and defect sheets accurately, including O Licence obligations and reporting via Key2 fleet management programme.
• Apply best practices and commercial vehicle repair techniques, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective repairs and appropriate use of spare parts and consumables.

• City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
• Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.

• IRTEC certification.
• LGV C+E Driving Licence.
