Retail Support Advisor
Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as an Assistant Transport Team Manager, based at our Distribution Centre in Wigan working onsite 2 days a week. In this role, you’ll support the Transport Team Managers in effectively co‑ordinating all elements of the Transport function, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operation each day.
This is a part‑time role with the following shift pattern:
- Saturday - 08:00 - 16:30
- Sunday - 08:00 - 16:30
With autonomy and trust to make an impact from day one, you’ll work in a fast‑paced environment, supporting the day‑to‑day running of the Transport operation by dispatching drivers in line with the Transport Daily Plan, completing driver debriefs and ensuring accurate reporting across driver hours, fuel usage and delivery schedules. You’ll work closely with Transport Team Managers to maintain effective communication around driver allocation and operational updates, while using transport systems and reporting tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency throughout the operation.
You’ll have strong attention to detail, good communication skills and a flexible, motivated approach, alongside being PC literate and confident working with transport systems and reporting tools.
