HGV Class 2 Driver

* We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating rigid curtainsider lorries to deliver goods across various locations.

* Responsibilities
* * Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry, primarily rigid curtainsider vehicles, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and company policies

* Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring items are secured properly during transit

* Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues

* Plan delivery routes effectively to meet deadlines and optimise fuel efficiency

* Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs

* Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit

* Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle at all times

* Comply with health and safety regulations at all times, including safe manual handling procedures

* Qualifications
* * Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record

* Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with rigid curtainsider vehicles or similar lorries

* Delivery driver experience is highly desirable

* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently

* Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues

* Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment
