Trainee HGV Driver

About The Role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business? We are looking for a talented Trainee HGV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

• Working towards gaining specialised knowledge and skills to operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Ensuring that legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of driving license category B – with no more than 6 points
• Previous driving experience desirable, however not essential
• A proactive approach to new training opportunities, and the ability to act on feedback to make improvements
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises
• Good geographical knowledge and industry experience (desirable)
• Knowledge of IT systems (desirable)
