We are currently looking for an on street Service Delivery Supervisor to join our transport operations team.
As part of the operations team, the on street Service Delivery Supervisor is responsible for monitoring services and taking decisions to ensure the business delivers at the highest standards by overseeing all operational activity relating to drivers and vehicles in service. They also play a significant part in delivering impeccable customer experience, as well as service management, revenue protection and event/incident management.
Responsibilitiesof the role
Work as a part of our current team, delivering a first class travel experience whilst maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Liaise with and remain at all times in close communication with the Operations team.
Monitor services making sure vehicles are compliant with service registration and where required take appropriate decisions to manage headway.
Undertake general observations of services including timings, loadings and staff welfare.
Report and document road/street furniture defects and liaise with the Local Authority for repair.
Manage on-street diversions/incidents/accidents liaising with internal departments and external agencies.
Manage vehicle defects, liaising with the driver, Operations and Engineering to ensure proper and accurate recording, where possible rectifying issues on street.
Undertake other duties as required, covering roles such as, but not limited to, driving, Incident Response and assisting within the transport operations team.
Work with Operations to understand and maintain an awareness of agreed KPIs.
Carry out on board vehicle checks are undertaken ensuring vehicle roadworthiness, cleanliness and driving standards are all to the required standard.
Requirements for the rolePCV licence holder with up-to-date CPC record.
An excellent knowledge of drivers’ hours’ rules and their application.
A thorough knowledge of the JMB network and local geography including relevant bus stops, and diversion routes.
Ability to assess risks, prioritise actions and solve problems logically and safely.
Good organisational skills and the ability to multi-task.
Comprehensive knowledge of the road network within the operating territory.
Previous supervisory experience (desirable).
