Salary and Hours

Salary: £13.83 per hour plus Veolia benefits.

Hours:

40 per week, Monday to Friday 06:00‑14:30. Overtime paid: weekday overtime ×1.5, Saturday ×1.5, Sunday ×2. Working bank holidays. Weekend work optional.

• Drive a street cleansing 3.5‑tonne vehicle and maintain public areas, including streets, footways, channels, alleys, central reservations, subways, traffic islands and under/around street furniture.
• Report fly‑tipping, graffiti, fly posting, damaged or missing litter bins, safety concerns, incidents or accidents.
• Check the vehicle at start and end of shift to ensure it is road‑worthy, tipped, washed and the cab is hygienic and clear of litter.
• Complete M1/M2 traffic management training after probation.
• Work outdoors in all weather, carry out manual handling.

• Previous operational or manual‑handling experience.
• Full UK driving licence – Category

• Knowledge of street cleansing desirable.
