Overview

HGV Mechanic for Profleet Commercials. Responsible for maintaining the external fleet of HGVs and LGVs, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet the required standards.

£45,000 to £50,000 per year, plus annual bonus.

Full-time

• Monday to Friday 9:30 am – 7:30 pm, no weekends
• Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, alternative Saturday mornings

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining Profleet Commercials’ external vehicle fleet of HGVs and LGVs. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and trailers to ensure they meet the appropriate conforming standards.

Profleet Commercials is a 25-year-old family-owned company with a reputation for quality maintenance and customer service.

• Maintain the mixed fleet of vehicles and trailers to the highest standard and in line with DVSA requirements
• Vehicle and trailer inspections
• Fault finding and repairs
• Brake testing
• Use of diagnostic equipment

• Qualification in City and Guilds HGV Part 1, 2 & 3 or NVQ level 3 equivalent
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HGV Mechanic
• Large Goods Vehicle experience is essential
• Health & Safety awareness
• Excellent time-keeping skills

• HGV License – Class 1 or 2
• IRTEC Registered
